PRESENT

From July to September, I had the honour of being invited, along with @aminesimourgh and @arnaudngaza, to attend the third-quarter residency in Munich at Ebenböckhaus @artistinresidencemunich. The outcome of this unexpected meeting with amazing players like @jisr.music, @matthiasgmelin, and @lugeab resulted in a fulfilling summer.

In November I was in Nairobi with the Artist in Residence program promoted by MIDJ, Italian Jazz Musician Association.

BIO

I’m based in Brescia, Italy.

I earned my degree in Classical Percussion in 2012 at the Conservatory of Verona and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Jazz at the Conservatory of Trento, graduating with honors and special recognition under the guidance of M° Paolo Silvestri in 2019.

So far I have worked with or for Peppe Servillo, Geoff Westley, Fulvio Sigurtà, Paolo Alfonsi, Massimiliano Milesi, Simona Severini, Guido Bombardieri, Ermal Rodi, Mohcine Ramdan, Amine Mesnaoui, Arnaud N’Gaza, Lisa Oduor-Noah, Brian Sigu, Ayrosh, Noel Nderitu, Rusty Brass, Rondò Veneziano, OFI Italian Philharmonic Orchestra, ParadICE Music (playing Tim Linhart‘s ice instruments at over 2000 meters above sea level), Mátti Kovler. I have performed in Russia, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Albania, Switzerland and Kenya. I have recorded for Naxos, Stradivarius, Scomegna, Ritmo&Blu, EMME Records, and Sonitus. In 2012, I won the competition for young soloists held by the Arena Foundation, subsequently performing as a marimba soloist with the Verona Arena Orchestra.

I have composed music for shows by Fondazione AIDA (Verona), Bam!Bam!Teatro (Verona), deSidera (Bergamo), Teatro San Marco (Trento), Teatro Pan (Lugano), as well as for the feature film “Cent’anni di vita”, for the “Isidoro Capitanio” Philharmonic Association (Brescia) and for Rusty Brass. Works have been written for me by Giancarlo Facchinetti, Giovanni Mancuso, Rossano Pinelli, Tommaso Ziliani, Saverio Tasca, Riccardo Barba, and Claudio Mandonico.

In 2013, after more than twenty thousand kilometers of hitchhiking, in an eight-month trip through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and China, I reached Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. From this journey and from the urgency to express in a coherent form the experience of dialogue with the other, the unpredictable and the transient, “Di Passaggio”, a musical diary born from an intimate dialogue with the road, was conceived, transformed into a more general musical reflection on the sense of “being” and “going”.

I am the co-founder of FluffyAudio, a company specialized in the production of professional sample libraries. In terms of production, my preference leans towards composing and recording with acoustic instruments, occasionally incorporating analog and modular systems. Additionally, I adeptly utilize digital tools, such as FluffyAudio’s sample libraries, to enhance my work when required.
